Light and Muscle: A Photographic Journey
In April 2024, I had the privilege of presenting a retrospective of my photographic work in Torrijos (Toledo, Spain). The venue was the cloister of the Palace of Pedro I, a space with a very special atmosphere, and part of the network of exhibition centers of the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP).
“Light and Muscle: A Photographic Journey” brings together a series of portraits captured over the past decade. The black and white format represents not only an aesthetic choice, but also a reflection of my current approach—more focused on photographic essays and visual storytelling.
In a time of immediacy and digital overload, the opportunity to exhibit printed photographs feels like a small act of resistance. It invites us to pause, to observe the details, and to reconnect with the calm that only exhibition spaces can offer.
My thanks to Telju Fitness for making this exhibition possible, and to all the athletes who—whether featured in this show or not—have trusted me to preserve meaningful moments from their lives.
