PROJECT
“Iron Soul Heroes” is a project focused on bodybuilding athletes with disabilities. I firmly believe in the power of stories to inspire and move others, and my goal is to give visibility to the personal journeys of resilience that lie behind each physique.
Through three symbolic images, I aim to portray three key facets of each athlete:
• The Person – their identity, background, and values.
• The Athlete – their process, achievements, and relationship with training.
• The Hero – what they’ve overcome, what inspires them, and what they represent to others.
The intention is for these images and stories to reach beyond the fitness world, so that anyone—regardless of background—can find inspiration in them.
I invite you to dive into these unique and transformative stories, which remind us that behind every physique, there’s a human journey worth telling.
THE ESSENCE OF THE JOURNEY
Fitness is so much more than lifting weights or following a strict diet—it’s a journey of self-discovery, discipline, and commitment to oneself. “Iron Soul Heroes” aims to be a showcase for those stories that reflect the willpower, spirit, and determination that drive a person to break through their own limits.
For me, this project is a narrative photo essay—a space where image and word come together to bring the stories of true heroes to life. There are nuances, emotions, and details that a photograph alone cannot convey—that’s why the text is just as essential as the images.
To truly appreciate it, you need to pause, observe, and let yourself be immersed. Contemplate each image. Read each story. Reflect on the strength behind those faces and bodies.

This idea had been in my mind for a long time—testing, refining, enjoying the process… but its real beginning was delayed, mainly due to the challenge of gathering the protagonists.
Emilio Martínez is known as a businessman and IFBB Pro promoter, but to me, he is above all a person of extraordinary human quality. Thanks to his support, this journey into others’ stories also became a profound journey of self-discovery for me.
Emilio believed in the project and opened the doors of his events to me, allowing me to meet the first featured athletes. That’s how “Iron Soul Heroes” was officially born at the EMPRO CLASSIC 2025.
